Finally a Break

Starting today I am taking the next 3 weeks off of school. We are all needing a break. I have had no time to think. I have become an old grump. We are going to try to get some Christmas baking in tomorrow. Micah told me about the bags of pistachios for sale at his Bi lo for 1.00 a bag. So I went and bought 6 bags. I will put these in our Holiday baking. I want to spend time the next weeks playing games, catching up on house cleaning, and enjoying my children again. I might even think about school schedules. I will have to see.

Good Day

We had a great day today. Brendan and Maggie had their Christmas party at church this afternoon. Instead of a regular Christmas party they went back in time to the little town of Bethlehem. They got to visit a perfume shop, a bakery, a toy shoppe, a market and of course the stable. It was really neat. Then we went to the deaf college in Ringgold. The deaf college always puts on the neatest plays. It really puts Christmas into true perspective. This has become a tradition for us. The play is always in sign language with interpreters for the hearing. If you have never seen one of these plays you are missing on a fantastic treat.
